What to bring?
- Cornish weather can be somewhat unpredictable and has a habit of surprising us so please check the latest forecast and dress for the weather.
- In cold weather lots of layers are better than one very warm layer and neutral colours will give the best chance of seeing wildlife.
- Sun cream and a sun hat is essential when hot.
- Suitable footwear – Boots with ankle support are ideal but wellies are fine in the wet and trainers will suffice in the dry.
- A waterproof jacket is often a good idea as is a warm hat.
- A pair of gloves is essential, particularly for gathering resources for shelter building and fire lighting so best to bring them every week.
- A mug suitable for warm drinks
Optional items include:
-
Camera, Notebook & writing implements
-
Folding saw & Bush-craft knife (Will be provided for those that need them, dependant on the session)
-
A thirst for learning and sharing knowledge
Food & Drink
We have fire prepared refreshments available all day and a fire cooked lunch is provided so we will need to know in advance and dietary requirements and allergies.
Whilst we try to cater for everyone if participants feel more comfortable bringing their own food and snack then please do!
Alcohol is not permitted on our courses due to the risks surrounding fire & tools.
