SURVIVAL & BUSHCRAFT COURSES CORNWALL

Re-connect with Nature, rewild yourself

Many of us have lost our connection with the natural world – Without the right skills the wilderness can be a harsh environment, but with the right kind of immersion it can help to rebuild us.

Re-establishing a meaningful connection with the wilderness is essential for our own well-being and for the survival of wild places.

SURVIVE

“Preparation is what we have left when the plan falls apart. Acquiring the necessary skills for survival is part of this preparation.”

Our Survival courses are for anyone who is interested in wilderness survival experiences, training or education.

We are passionate about outdoor learning, be it a two-hour fire-lighting workshop or a three-day wilderness survival experience, we have spent many years working with people of all ages and abilities.

Join us for a learning experience like no other – we’ll give you the skills you need to survive and then put you to the test.

REVIVE

“When lost, knowing where you are is unnecessary. What you need to know is how to get back to where you were”

Give yourself a break – for just a couple of hours or even a couple of days. Switch off the news, join us at the hearth and breathe – the burden of the entire world is not for you to bear.

Learn some new skills and rekindle a meaningful relationship with nature.

Our Revive session are all about supporting mental health and well-being.

GO WILD

Our challenge isn’t so much to teach children about the natural world, but to find ways to sustain the instinctive connections they already carry

Our Go Wild courses, events and experiences are for young people, families and youth groups.

We love getting young people out and about learning about the ecosystem they are part of.  It’s even better though to support parents and families to immerse themselves in nature, reconnecting with each other and surviving together.

What are you waiting for?

HOME EDUCATION

During our Home Ed series we look at a different element of Survival each week, not only learning the practical skills and how to apply them but also the historical and traditional importance of their application.

It is an adventure and by the time we gather around the hearth for the final time participants will be wiser, more confident and they’ll know themselves and their environment a little better.

EMBERS

Our program for young people aged 16-18 or adults aged 18-25.  A six week provision for up to eight participants that runs for one day per week. During the first 5 sessions we will get to know each other and give the group all the necessary skills and training to survive in the wild.

The last session comprises of a 24 hour survival challenge where participants will put their new found skills to use.

  • Group provision

  • High levels of support
  • 5 training sessions

  • One amazing experience

LOCATIONS

SCORRIER HOUSE

We are incredibly fortunate to be working with Scorrier House in Redruth this year. It is a stunning location comprising of mature woodland which is truly wild and home to some remarkable species of tree, plant-life and fungi.

The woodland has everything we need so our facilities here are basic. We can find and forage most things to sustain us but in the interests of hygiene and dignity there is a composting loo which, as far as we are concerned, makes it a five star venue!

On our Survival courses and Bushcraft training courses we operate a leave no trace policy. We carry all our supplies in and take them with us when we return to civilisation, reducing our impact on the environment and the creatures that live there.

WE USE A VARIETY OF OTHER LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT CORNWALL AND WE CAN ALSO COME TO YOU!
