WILDERNESS GUIDE – LEVEL 2

Location: Woodland Setting, Scorrier, Redruth, Cornwall

Contract details: 2dpw – Term Time only

Closing Date: 6th March 2026

Salary:  £25,350 – £28,470 FTE

Start Date: March / April 2026

Role Overview:

Survive & Revive is seeking a capable and reliable Wilderness Guide (Level 2) to support and co-facilitate delivery of our Home Education Programme.

This mid-level role involves working alongside a Lead Instructor to deliver structured, high-quality bushcraft and woodland learning sessions for mixed-age groups. The position offers meaningful responsibility, ongoing training, and potential progression within a growing outdoor education organisation.

Home Education – Volunteer

 

Location: Woodland Setting, Scorrier, Redruth, Cornwall

Start Date: Mondays & Fridays or occasional Wednesdays

Training: Varied

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist in the delivery of our Home Education series, which focuses on bushcraft and survival skills in a woodland setting. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced instructors, gain hands-on experience in outdoor education, and immerse yourself in nature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of woodland-based educational activities.
  • Support the preparation of lunch for participants.
  • Help with the clean-up process at the end of each session.
  • Ensure a safe and engaging environment for all participants.

Requirements:

  • No Experience Necessary
  • Must hold a valid DBS certificate.
  • First Aid training and food hygiene certification are advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a woodland environment with basic facilities.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Passion for nature, education, and supporting young learners.
  • Keen to develop technical survival skills.
